Crucible furnace for melting gold, silver and non-ferrous metals
An electric crucible furnace from Elektrocast melts gold, silver, brass, bronze and copper quickly and with full temperature control. Choose a compact bench-top model for your jewellery workshop or a larger top-loading furnace for small-scale casting.

Our crucible furnace range
Pick the model that matches your metal, batch size and workspace

Crucible furnace for gold and silver – 2.5 kW
Crucibles: 1–5 kgBuilt for jewellery workshops and small production shops that melt precious metals. It runs on a standard 230 V supply, reaches full temperature fast and fits on a workbench.
- Chamber: Ø 90 mm × 180 mm height below the flange
- Adapter plates for every crucible size from 1 to 5 kg
- PID controller keeps the temperature stable to avoid metal loss

Compact crucible furnace – 5 kg
Crucible: 5 kgDesigned for melting small batches of precious metals. Ideal for jewellery casting with centrifugal, tilting or vacuum casting machines.
- Small footprint – fits any jewellery workshop
- Works with centrifugal, tilting and vacuum casting machines
- Precise PID temperature control

Top-loading crucible furnace 400 × 400 × 600 mm
Ceramic or graphite crucibleA go-to tool for art foundries, craft studios and the jewellery industry. Precise PID control makes it well suited to melting non-ferrous metals such as bronze, brass and copper.
- Loaded from the top for easy access to the crucible
- Large chamber for bigger crucibles and batches
- Made to order – we can adapt the size to your needs
How a crucible furnace works
Simple design, precise control
Heating and melting
The metal or alloy goes into a crucible placed inside the furnace. Heating elements around the crucible gradually raise the temperature until the metal reaches its melting point and turns liquid, ready to pour.
Why temperature control matters
Overheating gold or silver leads to metal loss through evaporation – a common problem with torch melting. A PID controller holds the set temperature steadily, so you protect your metal and get repeatable results.
Where it is used
Our crucible furnaces are used in jewellery workshops, art foundries, craft studios and small production facilities. See also our chamber furnaces for heat treatment and firing.
